You can add a browser icon, or favicon, to your site for browsers to display in the address bar when your site is visited.
Step 1 - Access your Site Manager
If you are viewing the preview of your site, press ESC on your keyboard or click the Settings icon in the Preview Editor to access the Site Manager.
Step 2 - Access the Basic Information Settings
Within the Site Manager, click the Settings icon to access the Settings area and select the Basic Information tab to view and edit your Basic Information Settings.
Step 3 - Add the Favicon
In the Basic Information settings area, scroll down to the Browser Icon (Favicon) section. Here you can click and drag an image from your computer into the upload box, or click the upload box to open a file select window from your computer where you can select a file to upload.
Note: Favicon images work most universally across all browsers when sized between 100x100 px and 300x300 px, though they will display at 16x16. These are the standard favicon dimensions and while some browsers support larger favicon files, all will support that size. You will want to be sure to use an .ico or a .png file as the favicon image. However, Internet Explorer cannot display a .png as a favicon.
Step 4 - Save the Settings
After your image uploads, the final step is saving your settings. Click the Save Settings button in the top right to save your settings.
Note: After adding a new favicon image, we recommend you clear your browser cache and restart your browser to see the favicon update. Browsers can be very persistent in holding on to cached favicons. You can review our guide for steps to clear your browser cache.
