The Search module provides a search box that allows visitors to search your sites content. It can easily be configured to only search certain pages or content types. A search results page is automatically created to display relevant content.

Searchable Content

The search module will search all of the following content elements within your Squarespace site.  Any areas within your site that contain content, but are not listed here will not be indexed by the site Search module.

Journal Entry
  1. Title -- The title you add for an individual journal entry.
  2. Url -- The URL for each entry you create.
  3. Content Body -- The text add in the editor for the journal entry content.
  4. Categories/Tags -- Any categories or tags you use for each entry.
Journal Entry Comment
  1. Title -- The Subject of a comment.
  2. URL -- The Author URL you fill in for the journal comment.
  3. Content Body -- The content of your comment.
Pages
  1. Title -- The title you add for the page within the page configuration menu.
  2. URL -- The URL you set for your page, defined by the URL identifier in your page configuration menu.
  3. Content Body -- The actual text added to the page content.
FAQ Entry
  1. Title -- The title you add for the page within the page configuration menu.
  2. Content Body -- The actual text added to the each FAQ entry.
  3. Keywords -- Any keywords added to the keywords field for each individual FAQ entry.
Picture Entry
  1. Title -- The title you add for that individual image file.
  2. URL -- The URL for that individual image within the gallery.
  3. Description -- Description text added for that specific image.
Picture Gallery
  1. Title -- The title you add for the page within the page configuration menu.
  2. URL -- The URL for the main gallery.
  3. Description -- The overall gallery description content (if added).
Link Group
  1. Title -- The title you add for that group of links.
  2. Description -- The description you add for that group of links.
Link
  1. Title -- The title you add for that link (linked text).
  2. Description -- The description text you enter for any specific link.
File Entry
  1. Title -- The Title you enter for any individual stored file.
  2. URL -- The direct URL associated with that file.
  3. Description -- Any description text you enter for that file.
Amazon Item
  1. Product Name -- The name or title of an Amazon List Item.
  2. Description -- The description you enter for a single Amazon item.
  3. Authors -- Authors of any literary or audio content displayed for amazon items.
Discussion Post
  1. Title -- Subject of the post.
  2. URL -- The URL leading directly to that post.
  3. Post Body -- The body content of that entry.
Discussion Page
  1. Title -- Page title configured for the Discussion page.
  2. URL -- The URL leading to that Discussion page.
  3. Description -- The Description content configured for that page (if added).
Drop Box Page
  1. Title -- The title you add for the page within the page configuration.
  2. URL -- The URL leading to that page.
  3. Page Body -- Content added to the description area for that page within Structure Editing Mode.
All other modules
  1. Page Title -- The title you add for the page within the page configuration menu.
  2. Header HTML -- Content added to the Page Header of the page.
  3. Footer HTML -- Content added to the Page Footer of the page.
