Embedding a Video

Watch this tutorial as a video

Step 1 - Grab Embed Code

Most video hosting services and public video shows (vodcasts) provide snippets of code that you can easily copy and paste into your website. When viewing the video you'd like, look for an embed option, or, you may see an icon in the video player itself that looks like this: <>

Here are a few examples:

YouTube Embed

Viddler Embed (click the sideways V next to the fullscreen option)

In any case, highlight the code and copy the code - CTRL+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac). Then you are ready to paste the code on your website - CTRL+V (Windows) or COMMAND+V (Mac).

Step 2 - Insert Embed Code on your website

Back at your website, switch to Content Editing Mode Content Mode, navigate to the page you wish to add the file to, and click edit page (or new post/modify post, etc.). Click the insert video icon in the upper right corner of the edit window (next to the cog icon).

After inserting your code, click to save and close to apply this to your page.

Note:  We recommend that you review the terms, conditions and other guidelines set forth by the video service you use to make sure your video complies with their service requirements.
