You can link your own domain name with your Squarespace site using our Domain Mapping feature. This feature is available to all plan levels.
The following instructions are for configuring your domain in Nettica's control panel. These instructions assume you have already registered a domain with Nettica, and can take up to 48 hours to propagate through the Internet.
Note: You must use Nettica's nameservers in order to successfully map a domain.
Step 1 - Login to Your Nettica Account
Using the login prompt in the top right corner of the screen at http://www.nettica.com/, enter your login credentials and click Submit.
Step 2 - Access Your Nettica Account Summary
Under the menu item My Account within Nettica, select Account Summary.
Step 3 - Access Domain DNS Settings
Choose the icon option to Manage DNS Records.
Beside the domain you'd like to map to Squarespace, click the pencil icon under the DNS column.
Step 4 - Access Nettica's Preset Configurations
At the bottom of your domain management page, click the Setup this domain using Nettica Presets button, which will allow you to point your domain to Squarespace in just a click.
Step 5 - Point Your Domain to Squarespace
Click the checkbox next to the preset option Squarespace - Point your domain to your Squarespace website which will automatically point your domain at the Squarespace servers.
Step 6 - Confirm Your Settings
After selecting the preset, a confirmation page will appear listing all the settings to be applied. Click Submit to apply the changes.
Step 7 - Review Changes
When completed, you should see a similar setup as below, which means your records are correctly pointing to Squarespace.
Step 8 - Link Your Domain To Your Squarespace Site
Login to your Squarespace website. Navigate to the [Website Management > Structure > Custom Domain] area. Click the Link Domain option and add your custom domain to the domain URL field.
Once you've linked your domain it will appear in the Custom Domain area immediately. Both the www and non-www version of your domain are automatically added and you can toggle your domain to display the version you prefer by clicking the Toggle WWW link next to the domain.
Note: DNS updates can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate on the web depending on your provider. You can use these steps to check the status of your domain at any time.
